Welcome to the website for Barnwood Model Railway Club, the timetable for 2024 has been published!

The club normally meets on the first and third Monday of the month and the third Saturday.

Club Nights

Monday Nights are planning, design and small repairs. Light Refreshment are served.

On a Saturday we regularly get out the club boards to demo rolling stock, work on board enhancements/repairs or construct new boards. A bring-your-own self service buffet is the order of the day.

Location

The club meetings are at St Lawrence C Of E Church, 32 Church Lane, Barnwood, Gloucester, Gloucestershire, GL4 3JB.

Club Boards

The Club has three operational boards and one fiddle yard

The Main Board is our largest board, which once fully dressed shows the most impressive aspects of our layouts
The Folding Board is our show board we take to fayres, it can be dressed in a Winter or Summer scene and features a game for the children.
The Industrial Board was started in 2014 and is now complete. The board layout, wiring, points, control electronics and sofware are finished and the board has all the scenary in place.
The Fiddle Yard connects to the Folding Board as an extension and is used for exhibitions.

The Green Test board, which was created to prototype PIC based control techniques
The Winter Wonderland board was constructed for fayres based on the Green Test board, but due to its' size it did not see many outings.
The Folding Fayre board, which was the sucessor to the Winter Wonderland board and is used at fayres and demonstrations
The Industrial board, was our 2014 project.
